How To Stay Engaged – 3 Tips To Keep You In Your Game

Do you just feel like throwing in the towel at times? Have you ever thought to yourself, “Why am I hanging around these negative nellies?” Do you ever wonder why it’s so important to keep your mindset on positive and lovely things? Then let’s watch this video and have a conversation about it.

My middle nephew came to visit me and to help him with his career plans. During his visit, I got really present to a few things, that I just had to share. One of the biggest things that jumped right out at me was “negative self-talk.” It’s so darn destructive and yet mostly all of us are unaware that we do it in the first place. We do it everytime we dismiss our little wins. We do it when we make excuses for us not doing x,y, or z. We do it to make our friends look and feel better. I can do a whole video series on this. Yet, I only want to focus on 3 quick things you and I can do to keep ourselves engaged and on our game court.

Now on to the video!

I will confess, I was so worried about putting this video out there and sharing. It wasn’t perfect and blah blah blah. I just finished reading Grant Cardone’s book – Be Obsessed or Be Average.   Now, I am taking action; and that action is doing this. I am going to stick with internet marketing, self-branding till I get it right.  When we stay engaged and on the court, we can get things done and create wins for ourselves. You can win – just stay in the game and on the court.

Why You Must Invest In Your Personal Development

In a previous post, I talked about 4 things you probably wanted to know before your bought your work from home internet program.
1. How much personal development you will have invest in addition to the program.
2. You probably wanted to know that you won’t make much money from the start.
3. You probably will have to buy additional training, products, services to help you get traffic to your website/blog, convert that traffic to leads, and then into a sale.
4. You probably wanted to know that you need staying power.

Here’s the link to that video – click here.

In this video, I will talk about personal development and the critical role it will play in your business success. Let’s be blunt, your mindset will always determine your level of success. What you have is a direct reflection of your beliefs, mindset, etc. It doesn’t matter which upline you belong to, whose program you bought, or how many blog posts you have. Stinking thinking will always yield stinking results.

If you still need more proof, then here are 6 articles on the subject of personal development and success.

A Simple Way To Raise Your Vibration

How often do you tell yourself, “If only I had the money, I would start that business?” How often do you tell yourself, “If I just lose 10 pounds, I will be healthier?” How often do you say to yourself, “If I was rich, then I can just pay off these bills and be debt free?”  Here’s the tea. We all say it, have said it, or said something similar to those questions. We feel stuck because we think we must “have” this or “have” that in order to be and do what we want.  When we finally get that “have” nothing really changes…and we are right back where we started if not worse off.  In this blog post, let’s explore this notion of “have” and see if we can’t find a better way and raise our vibrations to what we want.photo-1458419948946-19fb2cc296af

Let’s ask ourselves those questions again. Now notice how you feel when you ask yourself that/those question(s)? Did you feel the doubt and fear? Did you hear that little voice say, “Child please… You really?”  Of course we all do. Even when I tell myself, if I just close this deal then I will hit this.  The only difference is through personal development and investing in my education, I’ve come to learn how to deal with this and I’ve made some real strides in my world.

Now let’s ask this age old question – when did you get your driver’s license? When did you graduate from high school? How old were you?  Did you notice something… those were at all at particular ages. You can remember the age you were at the time. You can somewhat recall those moments in vivid details. Here’s why – it’s because who you were “be”ing” at the time.

We have it all backwards in thinking if we have, then we will do, and then be. When reality all of our lives it has been be. do, then have!  Let’s go back to your driver’s license. How old did you have to “be” to get a permit/license?  In the US, it’s 15-16 years old. Once you hit that number you were eligible to get a permit. Then you had to take a test or tests…to have the license/permit.

Now I can hear some of you saying, well of course. That’s the law.  Okay – how about graduating from high school, college, graduate/doctoral school.  In order to get even a degree, you had to “be” enrolled as a student.  Then you had to “do” the required curriculum as outlined by the school/state etc and pass. Once you did all that, then you can “have” your degree.

See, I don’t think you are getting this. Let’s look at the job you currently have. I know you hate it, don’t like it, or which for something better. In order for you to get that job, you had to “be” a candidate. To “be” a candidate you had to “do” the application/resume submission either on line or in person. Then you had to “do” an interview or interview.  Then if you passed the interview/interviews, then you were offered the position and brought on board. Even after all that, still “be” with the organization you have to “do” what’s expected or better, in order to still “have” the graduation picposition.

Listen, I hope you are starting to get this. When I got it after listening to an InnerCircle Audio with my current program that’s teaching me how to be an internet mogul. I was like man… oh man! This is life right here. See I got that if I want to be a 200% of quota producer I had to “be” that person. I then had to do what that person would do, in order to have the 200% quota.

When we look out over the land, everyone is “being” who they are. We can tell by their actions, which is consistent with their being and their results. It never fails. Why do you think you feel a twinge of guilt or feel like crap when you focus on anything contrary to what you really want to be? Those inspired actions you ignore. Those pushes you to take this internet marketing course, read that book, call that person, or just hit the gym (when you don’t feel like it) are the Universe’s attempts to help you get on track to doing what needs to be done that’s in alignment with who you said you wanted to be.

When we just be who we want to be, then we will do / take the actions consistent with that person, then we will have what that person has.  Let’s say it like this. If you want to be a person who makes 100k, 1 million, 10 million,  then you must take actions, learn the stuff, do the stuff  that a person who is a 100k, 1 million, 10 million earner does, then you can have those results!  Till you be that person, you will never do, then you will never have.

If I want to be 17 mph average cyclist, then I must do the work, then I can have that result. If I want to be a successful 7 figure internet marketer, then I must do the stuff that’s required, then I can have that result.  We can look through out history at those who tried to get the results/or temporarily had the results without “being” the person who did what it took to get those results.  We call them one hit wonders, we make insulting television shows about them, they are the lottery winners who are broke 5 years later. They are family members or friends  who blames everyone but themselves for their problem(s)photo-1429051781835-9f2c0a9df6e4It doesn’t matter if you want to be a musician, artist, actor, or bum on the street. All that is required is for you to be that person, then do what that person does, then you can have the results of that person.  So grab a pen and paper. Write down what is the best you possible. How would you be? Would you take on new risk? Would you lead a team of 100’s/1000’s/10,000’s of people. Write it down!!! Yes, the best you possible. How much money do you make as the best you possible. Write a specific amount. Is it 5k, 10k, 30k, 100k, 3k per month? What does the best of you “do” to make that kind of money to have the things that the best of you want?  What kind of results does the “best” of you have? How much in savings? What does your house look like? What kind of car does the best you drive?  How much does the best you invest in your personal development? Our imagination is powerful and fuel for  the soul…so use and create the person you want to be. Then do what that person does, so that you can have the results you want. We are so worth it, because we are.

Here’s to the best of “us.”

These 3 Little Questions Packs A Wallop – Reinvent Yourself And Stay Relevant

Time is the fire in which we burn. (A Trekkie will know that quote.) Time will pass regardless of what we do or don’t do. The Earth will continue to rotate on its axis whether you and I start that business, write a blog post, read book, or make up with that family member who took the last piece of lemon pie. So if we know that time will continue to move with or without us, then how do we stay relevant in these ever Earth rotating times. How do we stay relevant, while continully adding value to ourselves and those around us? Let’s start with 3 simple questions that I learned from one of my favorites Bob Proctor.

1. photo-1416339672936-7fe434088e8cWhat Are You Doing?  That’s right. What are you doing? Are you doing what you love, have to, or hate? Sit down. Take a piece of paper and write it out. What are you doing about/in your business, career, health, love life, money, and spiritual side? Are you making the kind of money you want? Are you doing the type of physical actives or gym time you want? Is your business where you want and vision it be? How are you reconnecting to that side of you that isn’t physical? What are you doing? How’s your overall health? Write the answer to these questions in detail. This question strips away the hum drum and cuts right to the chase. There is no hiding behind the excuses of your ex-girlfriend/boyfriend. This is all about you.

2. What’s Working In Your Life? Based on whatever you are doing to reach where ever you want to go or not going where you want to go – “what’s working?” How do you know what’s working? Just look at your results. This is where you don’t play to your “oh it must feel good emotions.” This is where you get so raw and real with yourself.  If are you getting the results you want, then it’s working for you. I am hoping you’ve written down your “success markers.” These “success markers” light the way to your ultimate goal. If you goal is to lose 15 pounds in 90 days, you would just break that down in to monthly goal of 5 pounds a month, or 1.25 pounds a week.  So what’s working? Okay now that we got the list ask yourself this question. How do I get at least 1% better a day?  If you focused on getting better 1% a day, that’s a 365% improvement. Now is that a reinvention of yourself that would make a difference for you?  Of course it would because you are 365% better than before. Now maybe you will have to take a new course, read or reread a couple of books, hire a coach, or take a seminar. What ever it is and you are committed to your best life, then go and make it happen.

3. What’s Not Working In Your Life?  We all have something in our lives that just isn’t working as we want. So what’s yours?  Write it down and look at it. Now ask yourself this question. “How can I make this work?”  What new actions can you take? If you want to do internet marketing  and don’t know where to start, then your new action(s) is getting in an education program to help you do that. If you are a sales rep and you want to make more sells, then you maybe for you it’s reading and studying sales techniques and success stories. If your goal is to lose 20 pound of weights, then it’s getting the right nutritional supplements and a physical fitness plan for you.  Here is where you make no more freaking excuses for not living your best life.  None!  Yes, you will have invest in yourself. Yes, you will have to make adjustments and course corrections to reach your goal. Tell me, do you ever drive your car without slightly turning the steering wheel at all? Of course you don’t. Even straight roads requires some minor adjustments to keep the car in a straight line. Our efforts towards our goals are the same!!! We are all constantly making adjustments…either sub-consciously or consciously. Sometimes we have to make a complete detour on our journey. That does mean we will have to give up some folks along the way, and let go of things that does you no good! This question will always force you to look at “What’s not working in your life?” and to make hard decisions. photo-1416339276121-ba1dfa199912

I had a meeting with a senior member of management regarding his business sales plan for the year. I asked him those 3 simple questions. We devised 2 sales campaigns to target all the major areas of his sales organization, plus tracking, plus incentives, and the desired close ratio. The plans addressed what we are doing, what’s working, and what’s not working. Please forgive me, as I can’t go into more details than that. We got the green light from senior management to run with our ideas. These 3 questions packs a wallop and will work in any situation. As time move forward and the Earth continues to spin, you and I must reinvent ourselves and stay relevant. It’s all about focusing on how to get it done

Here’s to your success!

Top 4 Must Haves To Reach Your Next Level

We all have busy lives. We’ve got kids, parents, ex-boy/girl friends, bad bowling teammates, a job we may or may not, and of course that car that just never seems to give you 30 miles to gallon.  Thus we are all looking for ways to make it work. We are looking for ways to get to the next level. Yet some how that next level just doesn’t exactly show up…and now we are kinda going around circles looking for the escalator to the next level.  Here are 4 simple things you can do everyday to get yourself on to get to your next level.

1. Take Care Of Your Body!

1505208_10152473300536606_701946147392960598_nThis is number one for one simple reason – you must be able to physically endure your journey. If you are not in the best possible physical shape of your life, you are going to struggle to make it to your definition of the top. Just look at the top performing people in any industry – they are in shape, have the confidence of an Eagle, and frankly people find them very attractive.  Of course, there’s always exceptions to the rules. And there are way too many articles, studies, research to prove taken care of your body leads you faster to your goals – then not.  It’s been proven that those who are physically fit make more money…and just have the power to stick with it. Check out an article written by Stephanie Faris at Smart Hustle. In her article she points out that there’s increased brain function, better mindset, and lower absenteeism in the work place.  Now I am not advocating you to become a gym bunny or a fitness model. I am advocating for you to spend 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes working on your body. You can do that by walking your neighborhood. You can walk/run in the park. Anthony Robbins  calls it “An Hour of Power” in his “Get The Edge Program.” I love, love, love, love this. Get this program – if you don’t have it. It’s a classic and still transforming people’s lives in 2015. I used this program 2008…and double my income and everything just got better. Simply because I moving, breathing, and was alive!!!  Once you start to work out, walk/run/cycling/lifting weights, etc  – you will start to eat better/sleep better. You will start to feel a difference in your body and you will love that feeling. If you don’t, then see a doctor as you might have some other challenges. Get yourself to a gym, go for a walk, run, cycling, etc… make yourself a huge priority. If you don’t how do you expect the Universe and others to make you one in their world?

2. Take Care Of Your Mind!

converse-fieldsNo one can produce a $1 million dollar income with a minimum wage mindset. We’ve all seen this with lottery winners, who are broke within 5 years. I haven’t seen a magic trick yet that will allow 5 gallons of water to be held in a 24 ounce glass? The same as it as about success, money, wealth, abundance, etc. We must change the way we see ourselves as it relates to success and money.  Let me be frank, this is not going to happen over night and it’s not going to happen by hanging out with folks who think making $15 per hour is awesome. Nor is it going to happen by hanging out with people who think it’s hard to make money is evil/bad/hard/dangerous/not possible etc. Despite what we hear in the media, etc… it take money on this planet to get, have, or do anything. Until we as a planet change our concepts of paying for services, it will require money!  Thus if you are currently making $30k a year, and you want to make $100,000.00 you must develop the mind set of $100,000.00. You must develop a successful mind which believes: 1. you are worth it.  2. you must have it.  3. you will work for it by providing value to others and helping them to achieve their goals. The fastest way to do that, is to get around people who share that mindset, read and study success, attend conferences, and take daily actions with the tools you’ve learned as a result of studying success. Then you must share it with others to complete the circle. Study, practice, and share!!!   The first place I would start to get the fastest results is with Bob Proctor’s Six Minute to Success.  Bob has been studying himself and success for years and makes more in an hour than most people make in a year! I’ve used his Six Minutes to Success and found it to be awesome. I’ve used some of information to help me close some big deals in my sales career. I’ve used to help me go from 190 average in bowling to a 200+ average. I’ve used his training to help me get over some personal hurdles.  It’s was one of the best investments in myself. Not to mention, it a great for those who say, “I don’t like/don’t have time/can’t stand to/my husband will laugh at me / or blah blah read.” Break free…you are worth it!!!

 3. Take Care Of Your Emotions!

No matter how hard I try and pretend like I am not “emotional” the more I realize… Yeah I have them. As such on my journey to take care of my family and leave a legacy for them, I must surround myself with people who share that goal. I surround myself with those who will support me in my crazy decision to pursue my freedom, create abundance, and provide for my nephews/nieces/etc.  I don’t hang out with people who might even think about tearing me down…and try to make me feel guilty for wanting the very best I can get from my life. This is so hugely important, there’s no room for compromise. Listen, I Can Do Bad All By Myself  (great movie by one of my favorite people Tyler Perry!) I don’t need nobody’s help with that. Trust and believe.  Let me encourage you to have this resolve. There’s no room on the train to the next level for the baggage of doubts, fears, dismays, worrying, complaining, and debbie downers. That stuff will kill even a buzz from smoking crack. If you think crack is whack, then you cannot surround yourself with folks who do not love you/support you, and you don’t love/support them.  One of the biggest reasons people don’t win, is because they playing in the weeds instead of the flower garden.

4. Take Care Of  Your Spirit!

photo-1416359658663-73a3834895ebYou don’t have to believe in a god or religion to recognize that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. Notice the next time you are thinking about your friend Steve, while you are at dinner with Karen, then Steve just shows up, or text you, or calls you, or send you some sort of message. We have a huge connection between us that goes beyond physical barriers. Let’s just acknowledge it for what it is and figure out how nurture this side of us. If that is “church” then awesome. If it’s mediating, then awesome. If it’s working out while listening to audio books, then awesome. However we each do it, great. As we all have our own way of connecting or reconnecting with God/Source/Universe/ Spirit. I’m trying mediation, Yoga, and expressing gratitude every time I buy something/wake up/sleep/spend time with family and friends.  The point is we must not deny this side of our sides as we push towards are goals and dreams, as this side of us will and does give us ideas/insights/directions on the next move/course direction/course of action to take to reach the next level. Learn to embrace it!!! The Daily Mediation Blog site is full of great ideas!!!

In the end we are trying to get to the next level. We all face road blocks, challenges, etc on the path to the next level. What I know for sure when I work out, keep myself engaged in reading, studying, audio books, etc on success/abundance, hang out with people who are committed to reaching a higher level and supporting me in my efforts as I support them, and I take time out to acknowledge and nurture the spiritual side of me – things move! They move fast and with a quickness. Success is easier to reach when we take time out for ourselves, take care of ourselves, and prove to ourselves that we matter! Prove to yourself that you matter – and watch your world transform.

I am wishing you continued success on your journey, and I am expecting to add value to your journey. I will see you at the top.

If you got anything from this, then share it with your family/friends. Maybe this is what they are looking for to validate their next steps on their journey.

2 Stunning Business Quotes

Faith without works is just plain old dead. That new business you paid good money to start, is not generating revenue if you are not taking actions. No sales are made without some form of a cold call, marketing, or contact with a potential customer. That SEO Marketing Program you bought can’t learn itself. The MLM you joined isn’t going to pay you back if you don’t take “action.”
  1. We should be taught not to wait for inspiration to start a thing. Action always generates inspiration. Inspiration seldom generates action.

    Frank Tibolt
Read this quote out loud. Read it again. Read it one more time, word by word. Inspiration demands immediate action. It always has and will. Name a successful person who did not work on their goal? I can’t think of one either. Successful people have an idea, they get started, work towards it…and make corrections along the way. It’s no different than driving to the mall and you have to take a detour due to construction. Or go the grocery store for milk, bread, and cereal…and come out with fruit, nuts, and cheese because it was on sale. Take the actions you can take to make your inspiration become a reality.
  2. Nothing diminishes anxiety faster than action.

Walter Anderson, The Confidence Course, 1997
Action(s) taken in the direct achievement of our goals will always yield immediate and real results. We can take the results and make course corrections and changes. Let’s take it one step further. Have you let a speeding ticket stop you from driving? Then why would you allow anxiety (speeding ticket) stop you from reaching your dreams? Did you ever fall of a skateboard? Did it stop you from skateboarding? Go skateboard/drive your car… what are you waiting for? updated blog 7 of 2 of 21
Action, action, action is always required to make any dream come true. It doesn’t matter if it cooking an awesome holiday dinner for you and the family to enjoy. It doesn’t matter if it getting the kids together to chip in and send the parents on a 2nd honeymoon for the 40th anniversary. Whatever the goal is, it takes actions! Yes sometimes, we don’t know what actions to take, and we get stuck. We get so stuck we plant our roots in that muck/mire and just stay there. Now it’s time to get unstuck. Dig up that soil, clean off those shoes, and get to stepping. I know you are grateful for what you have out life, and you want a little or lot more. It’s time to take actions and make it happen. Fortune will always favor the bold. Are you bold, then take the action(s).
